For you tennis buffs, Mercer County’s public indoor tennis center is located right in the heart of Ewing. And golfers, we haven’t forgotten about you—Mercer County’s Mountain View public golf course, also located right in Ewing, may very well become your second home. Need some golfing variety…? Mercer County’s other two public golf courses—Mercer Oaks and the Princeton Country Club—are just a stone’s throw away in West Windsor.

Other nearby recreational facilities include the Mercer County Equestrian Center located in Hopewell Township, the Mercer County Public Ice Skating Center in West Windsor—which offers an Olympic-sized rink, and a county-operated boat marina, located on the banks of Lake Mercer. Mercer County boasts a growing sports industry and just a short ride away along the Delaware River is Mercer County’s Waterfront Park which is home to the Trenton Thunder baseball team. Ewing Township is home to The College of New Jersey which has been recognized nationally for its excellence in U.S. News and World Report, The Fiske Guide to Colleges, Barron’s Profiles of American Colleges, and Peterson’s Competitive Colleges. Among the leading educational facilities in Mercer County are Rider University (Lawrenceville), Princeton University, Mercer County Community College and Thomas Edison State College (Trenton). For the younger set, in addition to Ewing Township’s public schools, preparatory schools include the nationally renown Lawrenceville School, the Hun School of Princeton and the Peddie School in Hightstown.
